Episode 012 : Cliff — Tapeworms, Lung Parasites, and Years of Medical Dismissal
Their Journey: Cliff shares his journey from mysterious symptoms beginning in 2017—pins and needles sensations, rashes on his knees, tickling sensations, facial rashes, and inflamed capillaries—to discovering tapeworms and lung parasites after years of being dismissed by doctors who misdiagnosed him with dermatitis and psoriasis. A disease specialist became upset by his questions and dismissed his concerns. After contracting COVID-19, his symptoms worsened with severe inflammation, brain fog, chest mucus, and light sensitivity. Moving into a new house, Cliff discovered mold and rodent droppings in the crawl space contributing to his health issues. A naturalist examined his blood cells under microscope, revealing parasitic activity the medical system refused to acknowledge. Through self-research, Cliff obtained praziquantel from overseas and observed worms in his mucus under microscope, confirming the infection. He later discovered and treated a fish tapeworm. Currently battling a suspected fungal lung infection, Cliff continues fighting for proper diagnosis while the medical system refuses treatment due to antifungal concerns.
